Geocon will construct 4 residential towers (1×10, 2×16, 1×24 storeys) on the Tradies site, opposite Bellerive Retirement Village.
While the WVCC supports development (eg Ivy, the proposal for the Alexander and Albemarle buildings) and welcomes the activity more people in Woden brings, this development is not appropriate for the site. The size and density is too much for Woden and it overshadows residents in Lyons. There is no need for 4 residential blocks (798 apartments) on 1.1 hectare (one of them is a 24 storey tower from Launceston

The design includes features of Woden and faces of residents that have contributed to the well being of our community. The mural is also designed to encourage discussion in the community and with the Woden Valley Community Council.
