This IGPA Seminar will discuss the role of community councils and community groups interested in specific planning and/or
heritage issues. The Seminar will particularly explore the adequacy and appropriateness of community consultation processes
in planning decisions across the Territory, and improvements deemed necessary to those processes.
The ACT Government is finalising the Master Plan for the Curtin Group Centre. The community has taken a significant interest in the development of the Master Plan.

Hindmarsh has lodged a Development Application to construct multi storey storage facilities on this site.
The scale of the proposal is inappropriate. It would cover the entire site in buildings and car parks and add to the water run off and heat island effect. It is a significant increase in the area of buildings allowed by the current lease.
